God saw her getting tired, a cure was not to be. He wrapped her in his loving arms and whispered ‘Come with me.’ She suffered much in silence, her spirit did not bend. She faced her pain with courage, until the very end. She tried so hard to stay with us but her fight was not in vain, God took her to His loving home and freed her from the pain. With tearful eyes we watched her suffer And saw her fade away. Although we loved her dearly We could not make her stay. A golden heart stopped beating her beautiful smile at rest. It will feel empty here without her We'll miss her so each day. When days are sad and lonely And everything goes wrong We’ll here her gently whisper, ‘Cheer up and carry on.’ Each time we see her picture, She'll seem to smile and say, ‘Don’t cry, I’m in God’s keeping, We’ll meet again someday.’
